The senior 1st squad game on Sunday was unfortunately abandoned after 70 minutes of play due to a very nasty injury to one of the Cheadle Heath Nomads players. Everyone from United wishes her a very speedy recovery.

It was a very good team performance by the 1st team after a few difficult weeks who dominated the game straight from kick-off. After 12 minutes United took the lead with a great strike from the edge of the box by Kimberley Brown. Chloe Dixon was a constant threat throughout the game with her pace on the right before United doubled their lead to 2 with a great goal by Christina Skull on the 19 minute mark.

Not long after, Cheadle were awarded a penalty on the 22nd minute but was saved by veteran keeper Kirsty Johnson @kirstyj91.

12 minutes into the second half, United scored their 3rd goal, a thumping volley at the back post from close range by Ami Buzzeo.

Next Sunday is another home game, second from top Chorley.
